[Position]
Sourcing Manager
[Summary]
The Sourcing Manager is responsible for the overall coordination, and evaluation of all supplier sourcing,
choice and development activities. He or She manages all contracting, pricing and terms negotiation activities of all commodities and associated suppliers in order to drive product competitiveness and supply continuity. Supports new product launch activities actively with Product Division. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
[SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS]
- Manage sourcing activities for new product launch and cost reduction together with product Division;
- Define supplier choice plan and supplier development strategy that meet technology & quality requirements, minimizes landed costs and secure supply aligning with product development roadmaps and supplier performance continuous improvement program;
- Identify, evaluate, develop and qualify new components and suppliers;
- Negotiate and communicate with the suppliers about the elements including pricing, payment terms, lead time capacity allocation inventory management, tooling cost/management and supply commitments;
- Maintain supplier performance and cost breakdown database for cost saving purpose, high quality standard and potential risk minimization;
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers through (quarterly) business reviews and audits;
- Drive the assessment and prevention of supplier risks thru an appropriate risk management process;
- Manage quotation request & tooling purchasing management;
- Deliver quarterly cost reductions in line with set targets; Monitor market, purchasing volumes and supply trends in order to provide monthly cost reduction projections with material cost trend;
- Support call-off teams to ensure continuous supply with supply chain flexibility through appropriate supply agreement (including VMI/consignment, logistics, optimizations, capacity); provide the support to the team in case of supply shortages;
- Partner with Supplier Quality Management group to ensure products are delivered with excellent quality; Drive the assessment and prevention of supplier risks thru an appropriate risk management process;
l Intensive travel is required
[MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS]
- 글로벌전자회사 Sourcing Manager 경력 5년 이상
- 기계/전자/공학 학사/석사 (MBA 소지자 우대)
- 영어 능통 / 중국어 가능자 우대
- EDUCATION : Bachelor’s degree minimum, Master’s degree in mechanical/electrical or manufacturing engineering, materials technology or MBA is a plus.
- EXPERIENCE : At least five (5) years in management position sourcing in an international electronics company. Relevant experience and technical knowledge with quality knowledge is aplus.
Strong leadership, with experience in negotiation and problem solving skills
- LANGUAGE : Fluency in written and spoken Korean, English or Chinese. Knowledge of other languages is considered as a benefit but not a requirement
