[DEPARTMENT]
Consumer, Medical & Instrumentation Market

[LOCATION] Seoul, Korea

[BASIC PURPOSE]
Provide technical sales support for the Consumer, Medical, Instrumentation and Automotive markets to achieve design wins by providing MNCs product solutions for applications for both individual customers and for general use. Identify and specify new product opportunities to drive new products into Product Engineering including the identification of market trends that may impact our business.

[DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES (End Results Expected)]

1. Activities to achieve design wins:
• Engage in direct customer contact at key customers and focus accounts.
• Sort through customer technical issues to determine correct part choice, quality issues, etc. and engage proper product line resources to get issues resolved.
• Choice appropriate application block diagrams from previous use or generate new ones as needed to foster total solution sales.
• Work through Marcom to develop technical sales collateral for use with RSMs, representative firms and distribution channel partners.
• Support sales activities to secure custom part samples or required testing and reports.
• Provide training to RSM¡¯s, representative firms and distribution channel partners. This may include preparing and presenting technical information at conferences and trade shows.
• Publish technical papers in trade magazines and other vehicles.
• Actively seek to improve the technical understanding of our customer¡¯s applications.

2. Activities to Facilitate New Product Development:
• Identify gaps in the MNCs product portfolio by understanding customer needs at new and existing customers.
• Communicate New Product ideas to Product Engineering via new specifications, sketches, etc.
• Participate in New Product Development as the technical liaison between the development team and the customer from identification to qualification and production.
• Participate in Regulatory & Standards meetings as directed by management.
• Attend trade shows as directed by management.
• Collect and disseminate market intelligence relating to
o Competition behavior, activities and product releases
o Marketplace trends and developments
o Regulatory changes that may impact our business
o New competitors or customers
o Defining the characteristics of the products which best meet the demands of the marketplace with regard to price, performance, and packaging.

3. Other Activities:
• Monthly activity reporting and BOTS activity logging
• Assist management in preparation of sales support program strategies including collateral material, promotions, sales training programs, press release coordination and sample kits.
• Assist management in the preparation of annual sales and manufacturing plans.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

[INTERPERSONAL SKILLS]
This position requires customer-facing activities and so requires excellent communications skills in addition to a strong circuit design background. Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to find innovative solutions to overcome customer obstacles. The ability to make effective technical presentations and good technical/market knowledge is required to influence and advise MNCs customers in their choice process of MNCs solutions. Success comes from the ability to develop strong relationships with the engineering staffs at our customers. By providing high value technical circuit support, our customers can reduce the resources expended on circuit design while making their end product more competitive.

[BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS]

EDUCATION:
Technical education to an undergraduate level (minimum), preference for BSEE.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Working knowledge of assigned market design platforms and applications.
Semiconductor application support experience
Interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of customers and management.
Knowledge of assigned market industry performance and electrical safety standards desired.

OTHER SKILLS:
Time management and organizational skills
Flexible and able to work in a fast paced environment and travel frequently
Understanding of the Sales process.

Personal computer and office software such as MS/Word, MS/Excel, MS/Powerpoint, MS/Project.
