[POSITION]
QA Manager
[ SUMMARY]
The Quality Manager is responsible for the product and material quality in manufacturing to assure compliance with MNC and customer requirements. This position requires a person with proven leadership capability to drive subordinate and peers for quality improvement, control, assurance and prevention of defects directed to reduce product cost and improve product quality. The person shall be able to work under pressure, be self-driven, organized, independent and capable of making sound decisions that benefit the company and customer and always keeping cost and quality in mind. The person shall be a good team player with the goal of achieving consensus on all important decisions. The most important function is to ensure an effective quality control and prevention system be defining improvement action plans to maintain a quality and cost level which meet or exceed the customer’s expected DPPM and cost requirements.
[SPECIFIC POSITION DUTIES]
• Set up and maintain a cost effective Quality team to perform routine functions to maintain the quality system and support production. Routine Quality function include Incoming Inspection, In-Process Quality Control, material quality issues, Final Product Audit, reliability monitoring, quality system compliance ISO9000 maintenance, safety agency maintenance, Document Control, handling of customer issues, certification of operators, handling customer visits and survey, qualification of new process, product and materials, control of subcontractors TPM audits and implementation and deployment of defect prevention activities,
• Set up Quality Goals for department and subordinates which match Company’s and Operations goals. Assign subordinates to achieve the defined goals, monitoring the progress and provide guidance,
• Staff development, coaching and training,
• Supervise the Quality team to work with the divisions and regional quality teams on customer issues, customer questionnaires and implement customers’ quality requirements,
• Be the management representative for the ISO9000, EMS, Green partner and safety agencies,
• Handling subcontractor’s qualification; monitoring and improving their quality
[EDCUATION]
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
[EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE]
• 10 years in a QA management position
• ISO Quality system and audit skill
• Quality tools such as FEMA, 5-Why, Control Plan, Pareto, Scatter diagram, Fish-bone diagram etc.,
• Quality knowledge such as control chart, sampling plan
• General material knowledge
• General knowledge on environment, social accountability, RoHS, Safety, 5S and LEAN
• Failure analysis knowledge
• Able to speak and write English
